Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties is dedicated to establishing successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to better schools, brighter futures, and stronger communities for all.
Our Vision is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact and develop our agency's capacity to provide mentoring services to all children who request Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is not your typical organization. We help children realize their potential and build their futures. We nurture children and build communities. And we couldn’t do any of it without you.
THINK SPRING! Please mark your calendars for two special events coming up this spring: Big Brothers Big Sisters will staff a water station at the Wisconsin Marathon on Saturday, May 7 in Kenosha. This event draws thousands of runners and many volunteers will be needed-this is a great service project that you can do with your Little! The 2016 Cree Cruise will be held Saturday, June 4 in Racine. BBBSRK is grateful to be the recipient of the proceeds from this family-friendly 5K. There will be kids' activities onsite, so please plan to run or walk with your Little, friends and family!
Since 1960, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties has helped thousands of children achieve their potential. With the assistance of carefully screened, qualified and caring volunteer mentors, we are accountable for every child we serve achieving success in school, at home and in their community. We currently serve 150 boys and girls in southeastern Wisconsin. But 70 children are waiting to be matched with a mentor—some have been waiting for months or even years. These children have the potential to transform this community's future - but whose potential may go untapped without the guidance and involvement of an adult mentor. They need your perspective to awaken them to new possibilities.
