Past Years Success
August 12th was a warm and sunny, beautiful Summer Sunday that challenged nearly 200 bicycle riders who came out in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine & Kenosha Counties Tour De Vour.
In addition to great food for the brunch at the beginning, at the rest stops, and lunch at the end, water and Gatorade were extremely popular items.
After the rides, a small combo provided music to tap your toe to in the air-conditioned Sports and Activity Center at UW-Parkside. Thanks to Big Sister Penny Lyter-Antonneau, UW-P has been our base of operations for the ride for all ten of its years.
The rides offered range from a 5 mile ‘Family Fun Ride’ that runs in part on the North Shore Bike Trail. There is also a 15-mile ride and 50K and 100K (That’s 31 and 62 miles) rides that are designed for the more ambitious riders.
These members of the community have generously supported us. We strongly encourage you to remember their support when you’re in the market for something they provide.
