Come 'Fourth' for Kids
COME 'FOURTH' FOR KIDS 2010
Saturday June 26th
Once again Big Brothers Big Sisters will kick off the Fourth of July celebration with a BANG! Each year on the weekend before the Fourth of July we hold our bell-ringing fundraising drive at various locations in Racine and Kenosha .
Volunteers from service organizations such as the Kiwanis Club of West Racine , Wednesday Optimist Club, and the Racine Dairy Statesmen. Also Bigs and Littles, Big Brother and Big Sister board members, and other generous volunteers will ring bells and hand out little American flags as a small gesture of appreciation while collecting donations.
We would like to thank the managers of the following stores for allowing us access to their locations. In Racine, The K-Mart on S. Green Bay Rd., Walmart on S. Oakes Rd., Sentry Foods on Washington Ave and Pick'N Save Locations on Rapids Drive and Douglas Avenue. In Kenosha, Sam's Club on Brumback Blvd. and the Pick'N Save stores on 18th St.,63 St., and 75th St. In Burlington the Pick'N Save, Wal-Mart, and Gooseberries Fresh Food Market. Also the Piggly Wiggly in Union Grove, the Pick'N Save in Waterford.
Please support these stores and let them know you appreciate their support for community programs such as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties.
We would like to encourage you to help with this annual fundraiser. “Come Fourth for Kids” with a contribution when you see our red, white, and blue bell-ringing stands. The weather is (hopefully) sunny, the people are welcoming and the reward is great.
